It's another storytime!

I am sharing a story after a long time and it feels good to share the post.This is quite recent.

A long time ago I read a line - " Life teaches us the same lessons, again and again, till we learn them." Whenever I make the same mistake I remember this quote, same as this incident that I'm about to narrate.

I got into gardening recently, mostly from cutting. It is a very relaxing activity and calms me down after a long day of work. It's very peaceful to check the cuttings form new roots and produce lush green baby leaves. For the longest time, I was looking for a certain cutting. Unfortunately, I could not find the plant in any nursery or anywhere near me. But I could see the plant in inaccessible places everywhere like the side of the roadside, and neighborhoods where I was not making a stop at. It was frequent and very painful to just drive past them. After many such torturous days, I finally got one near my office. It was not on my usual route. Naturally, I was very excited to get my hands on the plant. Just as I was getting home that day, I saw the same plant outside my house. I stopped in shock. I walked the same path and looked in its direction every day but it never caught my attention. Of course, nothing was to be done then. I smiled and continued walking. I entered my building complex and after taking a few steps I had to stop again. The same plant was again in my sight, swinging in the wind smiling and waving its deep green leaves at me. The plant was so close to me! It was near the lift decorating the lobby area. I walked by it daily and never knew it.

This incident reminded me of something that my professor had said to us a long time ago," You will get many opportunities but you will have to have a keen look to know that you have a window of opportunity available." It is a little far-fetched from the story but it still reminded me that I just don't have to see but look. I don't want to go on about the opportunities that come my way. I want to know that I have an opportunity that I can take advantage of.

The whole idea of the blog is that if you open your eyes to find what you want, the universe will provide it. Because

It might be standing silently in the lobby, outside in the roadside planter, or somewhere closer. We need to have the eyes to look and not just see.

Whatever you are looking for is also looking for you. So don't only look, be available and ready when an opportunity shows up at your doorstep.
