Mountain of the Moon

Shankar Chaudhary,a  Bengali young man of the 19th century venture to go to East Africa when he got a job in Uganda railways. He met thre Diego Alvarez, a Portuguese prospector. With him Shankar set out for an unknown diamond mines located in inaccessible Richtersveldt mountain, commonly known as the Mountain of the Moon. The book deals with the experiences they faced over there throughout the journey. Here mysterious Africa has found a picturesque representation in the pages of the book.
